I give all of my respect to these mod creators and their works as they have made amazing mods, my intents are NOT to 'parasitly' appropriate the popularity of any mod creators for myself...All of the credits goes to them.

I have recolored and modified some of the block textures (For example : Recolored 'Flesh_block' texture's to fit the netherrack color scheme).I have tried to make these new textures fit (Mostly) the vanilla textures colors... Even imagining a coherent lore that should help incorporating these new textures into the game! (You may read it bellow ☺).

This ressource pack contains elements that may trigger trypophobia (Fear of holes) and any kinds of other phobias, as well as disgust for some players... I am not responsible for any of these experiences you may stumble upon, as you have downloaded the pack yourself to begin with.

Images in the description may also contain said elements, you may read the lore in the '_PLEASE_READ' txt file inside the ressource pack folder, as it does not contains these images.

Lore :

Originally, when there were no living species in the Overworld, the Nether dimension was entirely composed of basalt, the basalt delta's biome were everywhere in the Nether, it was it's only biome...

But, after the first living being died in the Overworld, it's body simply vanished in a single poof accompanied with white smoke particles... It's corpse was transported in the Nether, and separated into multiples parts :

• The soul was collected and trapped inside a single soul sand block
• The organs were separated by how well they were and later created their two own biomes
• The leftovers are just poured directly

Originally, they were only single blocks inside of the giant volcanic biome...But with time, as more and more living being died, they all started to become their own biomes!

First with the Nether wastes, a biome made entirely of flesh, the leftovers from the corpses of any living species mixed together into this giant biomes, regular mushrooms from the overworld seems to thrive in this environment.

The soul sand valley is where the souls are 'stored', this biome's seems to be the source of all of the flesh's animations, as if the souls were trying to find their movement's back!

There are currently, 3 known states a soul can be in :

• Resting, when the soul is inside of the soul soil block, transforming it into soul sand block...
• Wandering, they are mainly blind and cannot be seen, they just blindly wander around the nether...
• Crying, the most dangerous state, if any wandering souls group were to merge together, they will form a ghast, ghast are flying squid looking creatures that wander about the nether, but are agressive towards any high intelligent species, considering that the souls of high intelligent species such as humans (Player) are more powerful that any other souls a ghast could encounter.

A Wandering soul can go back to it's Resting state, as well as a Resting soul can go to a Wandering state. However if any Wandering souls got to a Crying state, meaning that they are now a ghast, they cannot go back to a Wandering state, as well as Resting souls cannot directly become ghasts.

The basalt delta is an ancient biome of the Nether, as explained above they were supposed to be everywhere in the Nether, until the whole 'dying' incident happened in the Overworld, as more and more things dies, this biome will be rarer and rarer with time, although it is quite slow, it is estimated that it should take around 405 350 years for the basalt delta biome to completely disappear!

It's inhabitants, the magma blocks, is also an ancient species that were created by the moving flesh that were too much overheated by the biome... They don't do anything interesting as they only jump around and attack any humans that enters the dimension.

The piglin and hoglin species are from the Nether and not from the Overworld, as it was originally thought... They simply have evolved inside of the Nether from it's very beginning! There is still more to research about these interesting species as we do not know from what they exactly came from and how they looked like before...

The crimson forest is were we can find most of the previously described species, as they seems to thrive better in this biome. As said in it's name, the crimson forest is made of giant trees! Only thing is that these trees are made with bones (Not high enough quality to produce bonemeal!) and organs! This forest is made entirely of the most perfect organs as it is some sort of 'filter' (We'll later confirm that with the warped forest.).

The way to grow a tree naturally is a bit complicated! First you need the most perfect organ to be colonised by some bright red mushrooms (These mushrooms seems to be a mutated variant of the red mushrooms from the Overworld...), they are quite recognisable, as some of them glow orange dots!

These mushrooms can also be found on the weeping vines, as it seems to be their preferred environment to 'reproduce', they release a lot of spores from there, these spores are not dangerous as they only seem to enhance the air of the crimson forest and help colonise some of the organs on the ground, producing a crimson fungus...A sapling of the crimson trees!

You can also find a lot of thorny roots, they are the roots of the trees made mostly of intestines covered in sharp bones! They are prey to hoglins as they love to eat these for it's rich nutrients !

The warped forest is also a forest made with a huge amount of trees! Except it is purely made from poorly treated organs, infected mostly by bacteria, viruses, and tumors!For example the trunk of the trees have small holes glowing in blue, these are bacteria colonies and may be dangerous to any living species!

Hoglins and Piglins hate this biome since it can infect them, an infected piglin soon becomes a zombified piglin, they can be seen roaming everywhere in the nether wastes!Zombified hoglins are the worst since they seem to attack literally any living things in it's sights, although, recently, they started to grow a resistance against the infection from the warped forest, and can only become zombified through the Overworld. However, they kept their instinctive fear of the small warped fungus.

The warped fungus is one of the plant that release the most dangerous spore in a big quantity, quickly recolonising any parts of the warped forest that were cut down! The trees seems to also be releasing spores themselves, although, at a much lower rate, you can see the difference in speed with the tumor cells on their caps, how they grow and shrink...

The warped roots are also containing tumor cells, although all of them are dormant, they seem to serve as some sort of storage, later to be used to help colonise the Nether further!And the warped sprouts are small bubbles of tumors, they store leftover spores, so it is very dangerous to pop them open!

Endermans seems to love this biome as it gets pretty lonely in here, making it perfect for them as they hate crowded areas, they also seem to be immune to all of the deadly properties of the forest... And they also scare hoglins and piglins...

Then, one of the most interesting plant of the warped forest, the twisting vines!They were originally not living inside of the warped forest, as they were everywhere before! But the hoglins also loved chewing on them! So the plants that were outside of the warped forest quickly died since they were all eaten very fast by the glutinous hoglins!So the warped forest acts as some sort of shield for these plants as hoglins cannot find the courage to chew on them from within the forest...

The way these plants are even more interesting, is that they prey on wandering souls! Yes, wandering souls.The way it works is actually pretty simple and clever, any wandering souls are always feeling a sensation of coldness, they're always cold. The only way for them to warm up is to rest or become a ghast. Both states having their cons, as becoming a ghast means that you'll never be able to be free again, and resting means that you're resting with more than a million souls inside of a, already compacting soul sand block, as soul sand try to get as compact as they can, squishing the souls together...

So these plants uses the fact that these souls wants warm by being warm! They have these tips on top of them that glow in orange... They emit a warm sensation to any souls who approach them, until the soul gets too close and becomes trapped inside of the plant, the plant then starts digesting the soul and grow a little in height.The height of these plants determine how many souls it has consumed...

To conclude: The Nether is one of the most dangerous dimension filled with flesh and souls, it is basically the garbage can of the Overworld's dead living beings...With two very contrasting forests, the crimson forest being the one where you'll be able to survive and thrive in the most if you plan to live inside of this dimension...The warped forest being more calm but highly dangerous, as many contamination happens here, be prepared if you want to farm endermans for their precious pearls!

And the most important, be respectful for the souls that lives here, we cannot know if they feel pain, but it is sure, that they are in pain...
